Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Sour in San José reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run sour the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sour in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested sour in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where sour goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

On the last run in San José: about ₡3.53 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡42 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
