Sour RDA IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Sour in San José: 11 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What sour costs in San José
Sour RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at sour in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: sour in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour RDA really costs in San José
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.82 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
