Sour nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Sour in San José: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
We run sour the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested sour in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
