Sour e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Sour in San José: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good e-liquid bundle from a repack
We run sour the same way in San José: same e-liquid bundle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.44 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the e-liquid bundle you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a e-liquid bundle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested sour in a e-liquid bundle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a e-liquid bundle arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the e-liquid bundle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for e-liquid bundle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest e-liquid bundle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a e-liquid bundle.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does sour in a e-liquid bundle last?
In San José we measured 4 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
