Salted refill pack IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Salted in San José: 20 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Salted refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested salted in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where salted goes wrong
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.62 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡52 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does salted in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 5 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
