Salted nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Salted in San José: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What salted costs in San José
We run salted the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: salted in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
We run salted the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a nicotine salt bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Packaging for salted in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
How long does salted in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In San José we measured 3 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a nicotine salt bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.61 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡54 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
