Choosing a nicotine salt bottle for salted
The honest read on salted: 22 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.56 per 10 ml.
The short version: salted in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Salted in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested salted in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.56 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.56 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
How long does salted in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In San José we measured 2 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
