Salted 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Salted in San José: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with salted in Costa Rica
Salted 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run salted the same way in San José: same 30 ml shortfill, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: salted in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
The honest read on salted: 8 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.15 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
