Raspberry in San José: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Raspberry is allowed to say
Raspberry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.81 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: raspberry in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a raspberry vape pen really costs in San José
Raspberry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.81 per 10 ml.
How we tested raspberry in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every raspberry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where raspberry goes wrong
- Mixing raspberry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long raspberry in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for raspberry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is raspberry legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does raspberry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the raspberry blend itself harsh.
How long does raspberry in a vape pen last?
In San José we measured 3 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
