Raspberry starter kit IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Raspberry in San José: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Raspberry starter kit here
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Raspberry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.61 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long raspberry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a raspberry starter kit really costs in San José
A raspberry starter kit from the compared options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested raspberry in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a raspberry bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where raspberry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why raspberry tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
