Raspberry prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Raspberry in San José: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Raspberry prefilled pod here
We run raspberry the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at raspberry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long raspberry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a raspberry prefilled pod really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested raspberry in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a raspberry bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where raspberry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why raspberry tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.75 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.

Frequently asked questions
Why does raspberry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the raspberry blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should raspberry start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does raspberry in a prefilled pod last?
In San José we measured 4 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
