Raspberry box mod IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Raspberry in San José: 12 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Raspberry sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long raspberry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a raspberry box mod really costs in San José
Raspberry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.35 per 10 ml.
How we tested raspberry in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a raspberry bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where raspberry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing raspberry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does raspberry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the raspberry blend itself harsh.
Is raspberry legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How long does raspberry in a box mod last?
In San José we measured 2 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
