Raspberry in San José: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with raspberry in Costa Rica
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run raspberry the same way in San José: same 10 ml bottle, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, 10 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a raspberry 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
Raspberry in a 10 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested raspberry in a 10 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a raspberry bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where raspberry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.42 per 10 ml.
- Mixing raspberry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does raspberry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the raspberry blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On raspberry the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.42 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should raspberry start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 10 ml bottle.
