Plum refill pack IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Plum in San José: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good refill pack from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Plum refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum refill pack really costs in San José
The honest read on plum: 15 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.21 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
How long does plum in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 6 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
Is plum legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
