Plum prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Plum in San José: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Plum prefilled pod here
If you are looking at plum in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A plum prefilled pod from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.41 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: plum in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum prefilled pod really costs in San José
Plum prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plum in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
