Plum mesh tank IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Plum in San José: 11 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plum habit
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on plum: 11 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: plum in San José works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum mesh tank really costs in San José
Plum in San José reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plum in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for plum in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does plum in a mesh tank last?
In San José we measured 4 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.54 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
