Plum e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Plum in San José: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good e-liquid bundle from a repack
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a e-liquid bundle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, e-liquid bundle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a e-liquid bundle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plum in a e-liquid bundle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a e-liquid bundle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.37 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the e-liquid bundle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a e-liquid bundle.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
