Plum 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Plum in San José: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
We run plum the same way in San José: same 60 ml bottle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.36 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plum in a 60 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
