Home / Plain box mod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist

What the label on Plain is allowed to say

A plain box mod from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.13 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.

Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

What a plain box mod really costs in San José

Plain box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.

How we tested plain in a box mod

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
3. Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.

• The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
• Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
• Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
• Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Costa Rica.

Where plain goes wrong

• Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
• Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

The rules that apply here

Packaging for plain in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
