Plain 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Plain in San José: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
Plain 60 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: plain in San José works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Plain 60 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plain in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for plain in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is plain legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
