Plain 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Plain in San José: 22 units tested over 3 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What plain costs in San José
We run plain the same way in San José: same 30 ml shortfill, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plain 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: plain in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
The honest read on plain: 22 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plain in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in San José survives.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.91 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
