Pear sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Pear in San José: 10 units tested over 2 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Pear sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on pear: 10 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: pear in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested pear in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
