Pear cartomizer IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Pear in San José: 9 units tested over 2 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear cartomizer really costs in San José
Pear in San José reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested pear in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where pear goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.92 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in San José survives.
