Passionfruit squonk mod IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Passionfruit in San José: 18 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Passionfruit prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.7 per 10 ml.
A passionfruit squonk mod from the value options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.7 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: passionfruit in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a passionfruit squonk mod really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested passionfruit in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a passionfruit bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where passionfruit goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing passionfruit with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Packaging for passionfruit in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
