What passionfruit costs in San José
A passionfruit prefilled pod from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.74 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run passionfruit the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long passionfruit tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

We run passionfruit the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested passionfruit in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where passionfruit goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing passionfruit with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.74 per 10 ml.
