Passionfruit nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Passionfruit in San José: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What passionfruit costs in San José
Passionfruit in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Passionfruit prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.31 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long passionfruit tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a passionfruit nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested passionfruit in a nicotine salt bottle
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a passionfruit bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where passionfruit goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why passionfruit tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a nicotine salt bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.31 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should passionfruit start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Why does passionfruit taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the passionfruit blend itself harsh.
