Nutty vape pen IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Nutty in San José: 6 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Nutty vape pen here
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.01 per 10 ml.
The honest read on nutty: 6 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long nutty tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a nutty vape pen really costs in San José
Nutty in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested nutty in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Mixing nutty with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long nutty in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is nutty legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How long does nutty in a vape pen last?
In San José we measured 7 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does nutty taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the nutty blend itself harsh.
