Nutty vape pen IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Nutty in San José: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What nutty costs in San José
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.07 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at nutty in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the vape pen you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: nutty in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a nutty vape pen really costs in San José
We run nutty the same way in San José: same vape pen, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested nutty in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a nutty bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.07 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
