Nutty starter kit IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Nutty in San José: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on nutty: 9 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a nutty starter kit really costs in San José
Nutty sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested nutty in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every nutty bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a nutty bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Why does nutty taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the nutty blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should nutty start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
