Nutty refill pack IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Nutty in San José: 20 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
A nutty refill pack from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.7 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long nutty tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a nutty refill pack really costs in San José
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.7 per 10 ml.
How we tested nutty in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every nutty bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long nutty in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
