Nutty pod kit IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Nutty in San José: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
A nutty pod kit from the pre-order options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.09 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at nutty in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long nutty tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a nutty pod kit really costs in San José
Nutty sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested nutty in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long nutty in San José survives.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.09 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does nutty taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the nutty blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should nutty start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
