Nutty box mod IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Nutty in San José: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Nutty box mod here
Nutty box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.68 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a nutty box mod really costs in San José
Nutty in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested nutty in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Mixing nutty with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why nutty tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.68 per 10 ml.
