Nutty box mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Nutty in San José: 6 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with nutty in Costa Rica
Nutty in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Nutty sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a nutty box mod really costs in San José
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.99 per 10 ml.
How we tested nutty in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a nutty bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.99 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
