Mintice pod kit IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Mintice in San José: 19 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on mintice: 19 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Mintice sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mintice pod kit really costs in San José
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.42 per 10 ml.
How we tested mintice in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
