Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
We run mintice the same way in San José: same cartomizer, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

The short version: mintice in San José works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice cartomizer really costs in San José
We run mintice the same way in San José: same cartomizer, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mintice in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.11 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.11 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡33 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
