Mint squonk mod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Mint in San José: 18 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Mint in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Mint squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint squonk mod really costs in San José
A mint squonk mod from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.61 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
