Mint refill pack IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Mint in San José: 19 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
Mint refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A mint refill pack from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested mint in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mint goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
