Mint cartomizer IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Mint in San José: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Mint is allowed to say
We run mint the same way in San José: same cartomizer, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mint cartomizer really costs in San José

How we tested mint in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where mint goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
