Melon in San José: 14 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Melon starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on melon: 14 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested melon in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
