Melon squonk mod IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Melon in San José: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with melon in Costa Rica
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
A melon squonk mod from the reviewed options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.14 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested melon in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where melon goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.14 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does melon in a squonk mod last?
In San José we measured 9 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
