Melon 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Melon in San José: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Melon 60 ml bottle here
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.11 per 10 ml.
The honest read on melon: 18 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: melon in San José works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Melon in San José reaches the shelf in 60 ml bottle formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested melon in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where melon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
