Mango vape pen IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Mango in San José: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Mango vape pen here
Mango in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Mango prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.34 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long mango tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mango vape pen really costs in San José
A mango vape pen from the starter options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.34 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mango in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mango bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where mango goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
