Mango squonk mod IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Mango in San José: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mango habit
Mango in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run mango the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long mango tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mango squonk mod really costs in San José
A mango squonk mod from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mango in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where mango goes wrong
- Mixing mango with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mango tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.61 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does mango taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the mango blend itself harsh.
