Lime sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Lime in San José: 17 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Lime is allowed to say
The honest read on lime: 17 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run lime the same way in San José: same sub-ohm kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: lime in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
A lime sub-ohm kit from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.43 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested lime in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where lime goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.43 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
