Lime squonk mod IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Lime in San José: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Lime is allowed to say
The honest read on lime: 15 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Lime in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: lime in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime squonk mod really costs in San José
Lime sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested lime in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where lime goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lime in San José survives.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is lime legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lime the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.19 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
