Lime pen device IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Lime in San José: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What lime costs in San José
The honest read on lime: 8 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at lime in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: lime in San José works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime pen device really costs in San José
Lime pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where lime goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.25 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lime in San José survives.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
