Lime pen device IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Lime in San José: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a pen device for lime
Lime in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime pen device really costs in San José
We run lime the same way in San José: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where lime goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
