Lime cartomizer IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Lime in San José: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
A lime cartomizer from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.86 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at lime in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime cartomizer really costs in San José
We run lime the same way in San José: same cartomizer, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested lime in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing lime with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lime in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
