Lime box mod IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Lime in San José: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Lime sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run lime the same way in San José: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: lime in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime box mod really costs in San José
Lime sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested lime in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | ₡59 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡1.63 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is lime legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does lime in a box mod last?
In San José we measured 3 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
