Licorice squonk mod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Licorice in San José: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
Licorice squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Licorice in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice squonk mod really costs in San José
Licorice sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.48 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for licorice in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
